Love submitting to taste buds on a Sunday? There’s a hot spot with a reservation just for you. Under the roof of this venue, though, are menu items from 50 of Los Angeles’ lauded dining and wining sites. What we’re talking about: LA Weekly’s The Essentials. (Grab a copy of LA Weekly’s annual 99 must-visit restaurants issue!)
Held in Downtown Los Angeles’ California Market Center, the event will be held from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. (there’s a VIP hour from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.). Though there won’t be white linens and crystal stemware, California Market Center’s Penthouse will serve up panoramic city views.
What senses will be riveted by, though, is the food and wine.
Indeed, bites and sips will abound at every turn. And with this being the event’s seventh year in action, they’ve got the most idyllic offerings down to a science.
Have a tough time making decisions? Well, if you really have to narrow things down, check out Sarah Bennett’s recent article 5 Dishes Not to Miss at The Essentials.
Among those five: Ludo Lefebvre’s Escargot from Petit Trois (pictured above).
We’ve also got several winery stops built into our itineraries. Hello, Dark Horse and Charles & Charles!
Meet us there. We’ll toast the views, good food and wine, together.
