Four nights. Four dance companies. Four locations. All rolled up into one fantastic event — Moves After Dark.
Usually, these Music Center venues are dark on these evenings — July 13, 14, 20 and 21 starting at 8:30 p.m. With Moves After Dark, though, the spaces come alive when four dance troupes perform.
Who you can catch:
Ana María Alvarez (Artistic Director of Contra-Tiempo) – Performances in/around Mark Taper Forum Pond
Ate9 – Performances in the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion Founders’ Room
BODYTRAFFIC – Performances on the Plaza as the finale performance each evening
Co-commissioned by Dance Camera West and The Music Center. Sculpture by LA artist Gustavo Godoy.
Lula Washington Dance Theatre – Performances on the exterior steps of the Walt Disney Concert Hall
Making the evening even sweeter is a free drink that comes with a $25 ticket.
