It’s Tuesday night. Don’t sit at home on the couch watching reruns. We’ve got a much better suggestion for you, as you’ll note from the poster above.
Mystery Writers of America’s Noir Slam!
We think the setting is particularly fitting. Where it is — The Last Bookstore in Downtown Los Angeles. The 20,000 sqare-foot store in the Spring Arts Tower (5th & Spring) is home to more than just new and used books and records. There are book tunnels, flying typewriters, skulls (see above) tucked between ISBN’s…
So time should be set aside for exploring. Or buying books!
The main attraction, Noir Slam, starts at 7 p.m..
Some of our favorite authors will be on tap. Including:
Christa Faust of Money Shot and Choke Hold fame.
Dazzled’s Maxine Nunes.
Craig Faustus Buck, writer of Go Down Hard.
And Naomi Hirahara, who writes the beloved Mas Arai book series.
You won’t want to miss any of the 20 authors participating, so make sure to arrive before the 7 p.m. start time. Things wrap up at 8:30 p.m.
See all you mystery lovers there!
