You know how much we love showers. So we thought we’d share a few ideas about how to conserve water during your daily shower.
This idea came to us from Daily Concepts’ friend, Nahmi. She’s been gathering gray water during her shower for quite some time. She even set up one of our team members with their own bucket. We were stunned to see how much water was collected each day.
How the water is used? To flush the toilet without having to use the water stored in the tank.
Another option: watering plants that would get neglected otherwise due to the city’s current water restrictions.
We found a great source of information that distinguished between gray and black water, as well as listing various, legally-approved ways of using gray water. Check it out here.
From the photo that kicked off the post, you’ve probably guessed our favorite way of saving water while showering… Sharing a shower! It could be one of the most bonding five minutes of your day. And for those of you who like singing in the shower, when better to serenade the one you love?
