Self Magazine recently wrote an article all about Daily Concepts and our indicator labels, so we just had to share it with you. Read on!
When it comes to our beauty products’ expiration dates, sometimes ignorance is bliss. Lipstick expires in one year? Not my favorite Dior Rouge. However, it’s a bit more obvious (and hazardous) to play dumb when it comes to brushes and sponges. Because the products perform best when used damp, bacteria accumulates at an even faster rate. So, to keep consumers aware of a product’s lifespan, skincare brand Daily Concepts has added expiration dates to their packaging. Genius, right?
The company’s bath products, which include everything from exfoliating gloves ($16) to konjac sponges ($18) and wash clothes ($14) all come packaged in shower-friendly bags with suction cups. Over the course of approximately 90 days, the labels fade, indicating when it’s time for a replacement. The Your Facial Micro Scrubber ($8) even has a built-in antimicrobial, holding off even more bacteria. Looks like our beauty routine just got a whole lot smarter… and cleaner.
