Shower for Productivity

You know Daily Concepts loves singing in the shower. It’s also where some of our best ideas are born. So when we saw this post from Kris Carr, we were thrilled.

We’ve been inspired by Kris for years. Haven’t heard her story? Let us fill you in.

On Valentine’s Day in 2003, Kris was diagnosed with a slow-growing, yet incurable, stage 4 cancer.

Rather than sit back and let cancer rule her life, Kris became empowered. “Though I couldn’t be cured, I could still be healthy—I could still participate in my well-being, feel good, love harder and enjoy my life more fully. So I hit the road on a self-care pilgrimage and have never looked back.”

Inspired by Kris’ energy, we’ve seen the movie about her journey and own many of her books that are a blueprint for embracing each day in a healthier way. Even more inspiring — over 10 years after her cancer diagnosis, Kris is thriving.

Which brings us to her recent post about productivity. Where we read…

“My best ideas happen in the shower. Why? I’m allowing my brain and my body to relax. Relaxation stimulates productivity. Was Einstein being unproductive when he was day dreaming on a train ride? Nope. That day dreaming lead to E=mc2, which ultimately changed the world we know today.”

We couldn’t agree more! In fact, we’re heading for the shower right now to grab some brainy brilliance of our own.
