What makes them 'Indigenous Soaps’?

Creator of Indigenous Soaps, Love Chance, decided to share her passion with the world about 15 years ago.

Being inspired after studying Hawaiian medicinal herbs, she wanted to include healing medicinal components in something people can use every day, like soap! Everything is plant based, all ingredients are local, and are made for healing skin; hence the name 'Indigenous soap'.

"Created on the Island of Oahu, the indigenous in our soaps comes from our passion in studying medicinal herbs and oils from all over the world. We believe that everyone is indigenous and are inspired by natural healing. Each of our ingredients are chosen by what is local, organic, or highest grade. We combine these herbs and oils in our soaps, to result an Indigenous bar of Soap. We take no short cuts in our fine ingredients."

In creating these soaps, Chance's goal was to include medicinal herbs into people's daily routines. She doesn't include any using chemicals, fragrances, or aesthetic colors in the soap, which makes it healthier for skin and everyday use.

Chance believes, “The world is changing, and as we become more aware, and the speed of information goes around the world faster and faster, people will no longer stand for the easy, synthetic, dishonest way to make a living.” Her goal in creating the indigenous soaps was to spread awareness on what people use on their skin every day and how they can do better to help themselves.

She also aims to promote wellness and how to treat the environment, “We are realizing that we are all connected, and we cannot treat mother earth with such reckless abandon. We must live in harmony with her, making sure that what we harvest we also plant more of, and that pollution on all levels are reduced. Enjoy all your days, Aloha”
