The Wake
Before water. Circulation first.
Start dry, before the water. Long strokes from the feet toward the heart, small circles at the knees and elbows. You feel it about thirty seconds in, when the skin wakes up ahead of you.
Then into the water. The sisal mitt takes the day off your shoulders and back — stiff when it is dry, soft the moment it is wet. The scrubbing pad finishes gently: chest, neck, anywhere the mitt is too much.
Three tools, one direction of travel. From the edges of you, inward.
The brush handle is cut from natural stone and weighted. It is the piece that stays out on the shelf, so we made it worth looking at.
